Samsung Rolls Out One UI 9 With New Galaxy AI Features
The latest update brings smarter tools for creativity, productivity, device care and security across Galaxy devices.
Samsung has begun the official rollout of One UI 9, bringing new Galaxy AI experiences and practical tools to more Galaxy devices.
The rollout started on September 16 with the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. One UI 9 first debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8.
For users, the update focuses on making everyday tasks simpler. It also gives users more control over how they capture content, manage information and protect their devices.
Smarter Tools for Everyday Moments
One of the standout features is My FanCam. The tool automatically tracks a selected person in a video and keeps them centred as the scene changes.
That means users can capture performances, sporting moments and social events without manually adjusting the frame.
Samsung has also introduced Generative and Editable Cards in Now Brief. Users can customise their daily summaries with cards covering areas such as health, weather and video.
Meanwhile, Warranty and Care brings device support into the Settings menu. Users can check warranty coverage, run diagnostics, view repair estimates and manage Samsung Care+.
Galaxy AI Takes on More Everyday Tasks
One UI 9 also expands Galaxy AI into everyday activities.
Now Nudge provides context-aware suggestions while users work through tasks. For example, someone planning an event through messages can access reservation details or save a shared location without leaving the conversation.
Creative Studio can also suggest image-generation ideas around upcoming events. A birthday, for example, could prompt users to create a personalized image or greeting.
For people communicating across languages, Interpreter now includes Thread View. This allows users to refer back to earlier parts of a translated conversation.
Samsung has also improved Document Scan and Voice Recorder. Users can scan difficult materials with less manual adjustment, while recordings can generate clearer summaries with headings and tables.

More Attention to Security and Privacy
Security remains another focus of One UI 9.
The new Security Brief brings important alerts into Now Brief. These include warnings about malware, unknown apps and unnecessary permissions.
Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to identify potential privacy risks. Users can therefore get more visibility into how apps access their information.
Samsung is also expanding Scam Detection to additional markets and languages. Availability, however, varies by country, language, device and One UI version.

One UI 9 builds on Samsung’s wider push to make AI a practical part of everyday smartphone use.
Rather than focusing only on new features, the update brings AI into familiar activities such as recording videos, translating conversations, scanning documents and managing device security.
Samsung says the rollout will continue across more Galaxy devices in phases. Availability can vary by market and device.
