One Fibre Plan, Five Family Members: Safaricom’s New Offer
Safaricom’s new Home Fibre package lets customers share mobile data or minutes with up to five family members. Plans start at KSh3,749.
Safaricom has launched a Family Share plan that combines Home Fibre with mobile connectivity. As a result, households can enjoy internet access at home while sharing mobile benefits on the go.
The offer is open to both new and existing Safaricom Home Fibre customers. Through the plan, customers can add up to five family members and share selected mobile benefits.
In addition, the package brings home internet, mobile voice, data and SMS benefits under one proposition. Customers also get a single bill, making it easier to manage household connectivity expenses.
Speaking during the launch, Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali said the plan responds to customers’ need for convenience and better value.
“People work, learn, travel, explore and stay connected across different spaces, and they want greater value without added complexity,” said Fawzia.
She added that Family Share is part of Safaricom’s Pata More initiative. Through the plan, the company aims to keep customers connected both at home and on the move.
Family Share Plans and Prices
The Family Share offer starts at KSh3,749 per month. At this price, customers get a 40 Mbps Home Fibre package and can share either 750 voice minutes or 14GB of mobile data with up to five family members.
Meanwhile, customers who need faster internet or larger mobile allowances can choose from three other packages.

Therefore, households can select a package based on their internet usage and mobile connectivity needs. The options range from the 40 Mbps Bronze plan to the 500 Mbps Diamond package.
Home Fibre Demand Continues to Grow
The launch comes as Safaricom reports growth in its Home Fibre business. According to the company, active customers have increased by 27%.
At the same time, the proportion of connected homes with active subscriptions has risen from 66.8% to 71.0%. These figures point to continued uptake of home connectivity services.
Family Share builds on Safaricom’s earlier Home Fibre speed upgrades, which came at no additional cost. Now, by combining fixed and mobile services, the company is extending its offering to households that need connectivity in different places.
For example, family members can benefit from shared mobile allowances while using the home internet connection. The single-bill arrangement also brings these connectivity needs together under one plan.
How to Get the Family Share Plan
Customers can purchase Home Fibre or 4G and 5G Wi-Fi plans through the My OneApp app. Alternatively, they can dial *400# or visit a Safaricom shop or authorized dealer outlet.
