Customers to enjoy faster internet at no extra cost

Safaricom has upgraded its Home Fibre offering, increasing internet speeds by up to 2.5 times at no extra cost to customers.

The update applies across all plans. Customers will retain current pricing while enjoying faster speeds.

Entry-level packages will now offer speeds of up to 15 Mbps. Mid-tier plans will deliver 35 Mbps and 80 Mbps. Premium packages will reach up to 400 Mbps, supporting households with heavy internet usage.

Meeting Growing Demand for High-Speed Connectivity

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa said the upgrade reflects rising demand for reliable home internet.

“As homes become more connected, high-speed internet is no longer a luxury,” he said. “This upgrade delivers greater value, supports multi-device usage, and enables smoother streaming and communication.”

He added that the move strengthens Safaricom’s market position while supporting the shift toward smart homes and digital lifestyles.
