PATA MORE: Safaricom Brings More Value, Convenience and Savings to Western and Nyanza
The campaign brings enhanced value across M-PESA, data, devices, fibre and business solutions, including lower Pochi transaction costs.
Safaricom has expanded its PATA MORE campaign to the Greater Western and Nyanza regions, bringing new offers and enhanced services to customers and businesses.
The regional launch took place at Misori Beach in Usenge, Siaya County, bringing together customers, partners and local stakeholders.
PATA MORE aims to give customers more value, convenience and flexibility across Safaricom’s connectivity and digital services.
More data for everyday connectivity
Under the campaign, customers will receive larger data allocations on selected bundles.
The 250MB bundle now costs KES 20 and remains valid for 24 hours. The allocation has increased from 150MB.
Customers can also get 1.5GB for KES 99, valid for 24 hours, up from the previous 1GB allocation.
The KES 1,000 monthly data bundle now provides 21.5GB. This is more than double the previous 10GB allocation.
Pochi customers get more value
PATA MORE also introduces changes to Pochi la Biashara that reduce transaction costs for customers and merchants.
Under Pochi Kadogo, customers can now make transactions of up to KES 200 free of charge. The previous threshold stood at KES 100.
For the next 90 days, Safaricom will also cap transaction fees at KES 50 for amounts above KES 200.
The campaign also promotes Scan to Pay and Tap to Pay as faster ways for customers to make payments.
Higher threshold for Lipa na M-PESA
Small businesses will also benefit from an increase in the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold.
Safaricom has raised the threshold from KES 200 to KES 500. This allows merchants to retain more of their earnings as digital payments continue to grow.
The move also gives customers more flexibility when making smaller purchases through Lipa na M-PESA.

More value when upgrading devices
Customers looking to replace or upgrade their smartphones can access packages that combine devices with data, voice services and device insurance.
The offer includes the Neon Ultra 2, available from KES 55 per day with device insurance included.
This approach gives customers connectivity while also providing protection for their smartphones.
Supporting drivers and riders
Safaricom is also targeting drivers and riders through its Bundle Ya Dereva/Boda packages.
The bundles combine connectivity with tools that support their daily work.
Subscribers get complimentary access to ride-hailing applications and Google Maps. The packages also include Tuunza Mapato insurance.
The PATA MORE rollout across Western and Nyanza adds to Safaricom’s national campaign as the company continues to expand digital services and value-focused offers for customers, merchants and small businesses.
