The Karen Hospital Meru Outpatient Branch Now Open In Meru
Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and his Deputy Titus Ntuchiu have officiated over the inaugural launch of The Karen Hospital Meru Outpatient Branch in Meru town.
The governor has lauded The Karen Hospital management led by the Board Chairman Dr. Betty M. Gikonyo, for the massive resources they have deployed to bring the state of the art facility to Meru County with the aim of complementing the County Government’s efforts to improve healthcare services to the people of Meru.
He added that he looks forward to a close cooperation between his administration and The Karen Hospital to facilitate training and transfer of knowledge to doctors from Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital (MeTRH) to ensure first-class healthcare services are availed to the population of Meru residents at MeTRH.
The Karen Hospital has some of the best cardiology specialists (specialists in heart and blood vessel complications) in the country and they can train doctors from Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital (MeTRH) to ensure the critical services are availed to the population of Meru residents at MeTRH.
This transfer of knowledge and the fact that our County will no longer export patients to Nairobi as has been the case in the past is a huge milestone for us.
