Samsung Electronics recently brought together creators, tech enthusiasts, and young consumers in Nairobi during the Samsung Galaxy Hangout, an event focused on creativity, storytelling, and digital innovation.

The event marked the launch of the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 smartphones in Kenya. However, the experience extended beyond a traditional product launch.

Through the theme “For The Moments That Matter,” Samsung positioned the event as a community-driven experience focused on learning, creativity, and lifestyle technology.

The company encouraged consumers from different backgrounds to embrace content creation and digital storytelling using mobile technology.

One of the key highlights of the event was the AI and Camera Masterclass. During the sessions, attendees learned practical mobile photography and content creation skills using Galaxy AI features.

Participants explored tools such as Object Eraser, which removes unwanted objects or photobombers from images with a single tap.

They also tested the Best Face feature designed to improve group photos. In addition, attendees experimented with AI Image Remastering and lighting enhancement tools.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy A-Series aims to simplify professional-quality photography for everyday users.

The event also introduced street photography for the Galaxy A-Series lineup. Using Nairobi as a backdrop, attendees captured photos across different locations in the city.

Armed with the Galaxy A57 and A37 devices, users explored features such as the 50MP main camera and Nightography technology.

Samsung said the devices are designed to support creators, students, professionals, and hobbyists looking to produce high-quality visual content without expensive equipment.

Beyond photography, the company also hosted a SmartThings Masterclass focused on connected living.

The sessions demonstrated how users can manage household devices through Samsung’s smart ecosystem. Participants learned how to control lighting, appliances, and entertainment systems from a single device.

Samsung also addressed device protection through TV Guard education. The feature protects televisions from power fluctuations commonly experienced in some markets.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Hangout reflects the company’s broader goal of building a connected and creative community around its technology ecosystem in Kenya.

The company said it wants more young people to access tools that support creativity, storytelling, and smart living experiences.
