Safaricom My OneApp Gets New Features in Latest Apple Store Update
Version 5.2.0 introduces Lipa na Bonga, Dynamic Fonts, easier roaming management and a new East Africa roaming bundle.
Safaricom has released version 5.2.0 of My OneApp for iPhone users, adding new features designed to make everyday mobile services easier to manage.
The update is now available on the Apple App Store. It expands the app’s self-service capabilities, giving customers more control over rewards, roaming and their overall app experience.
My OneApp brings together services such as M-PESA, airtime, data, SMS, Bonga Points and other Safaricom services in one platform.

Lipa na Bonga brings rewards closer
One of the key additions in version 5.2.0 is Lipa na Bonga.
The feature allows customers to redeem their Bonga Points for products, services and more directly through the app.
This gives customers a simpler way to use their accumulated points as part of their everyday transactions.
Roaming management becomes easier
The latest update also gives customers greater control over roaming services.
Through Manage Roaming, users can activate or deactivate roaming directly from My OneApp. This means customers do not need to call customer care to manage the service.
For customers travelling across the region, Safaricom has also introduced the EA Roaming Bundle.
The bundle is designed to provide connectivity across East Africa, making it easier for customers to stay connected while travelling within the region.
The addition is particularly useful for customers who regularly travel for business, work or leisure across East African markets.
Dynamic Fonts improve readability
My OneApp 5.2.0 also introduces Dynamic Fonts.
The feature adjusts text display according to a user’s device settings. This makes information easier to read and provides a more personalized experience.
The update is part of a wider push towards making more services accessible directly through the app.
More services in one place
The latest features build on My OneApp’s role as a single platform for Safaricom customers.
The app already brings together M-PESA, bundles, Bonga Points and other services. Customers can also access payment options and connectivity services from the platform.
