 Samsung Electronics has unveiled the new Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, marking a major step in bringing advanced artificial intelligence features to more smartphone users. The launch signals Samsung’s growing focus on making AI practical, accessible, and useful in everyday life.

The two devices build on the success of the Galaxy A series. This time, however, Samsung is pushing further by combining improved performance, smarter cameras, and intuitive AI tools all at a more accessible price point.

Speaking during the announcement, Evelyn Munene, Head of Product & Marketing at Samsung Electronics East Africa, said the new devices reflect the company’s commitment to expanding AI access.

“The new Galaxy A series reflects our continued commitment to AI democratization,” she said. “With enriched Awesome Intelligence, users can now enjoy reliable performance while unlocking smarter ways to work and create.”

AI Moves to the Center of Everyday Use

At the heart of the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G is Samsung’s upgraded “Awesome Intelligence,” powered by One UI 8.5. The goal is simple help users do more, faster, and with less effort.

For instance, new voice transcription features allow users to convert calls, lectures, or voice notes into text instantly. This makes it easier to revisit important information without manual note-taking. In addition, AI Select simplifies multitasking by allowing users to extract text or images directly from their screens.

Photo editing also gets a major boost. Tools like Object Eraser now deliver more natural results, while features such as Best Face ensure better group photos. Meanwhile, Auto Trim helps users quickly edit videos without advanced skills.

Samsung has also enhanced its integration with Google through Circle to Search, which now supports multi-object recognition. As a result, users can search multiple items within a single image at once.

Smarter Cameras for Day and Night

Camera performance remains a key focus. Both devices feature a 50MP main sensor, designed to deliver clear and detailed images across different lighting conditions.

In low-light environments, improved Nightography ensures brighter and more natural photos. At the same time, AI-powered scene optimization enhances portraits and balances colors automatically.

The Galaxy A57 5G goes a step further. It offers faster shutter speeds and improved image processing, allowing users to capture sharper images even in motion.

Performance, Battery and Design Upgrades

Beyond AI and cameras, Samsung has made notable improvements in performance. The Galaxy A57 5G features upgraded processing power, enabling smoother multitasking, streaming, and content creation.

Despite its slim design, the device packs a 5,000mAh battery that can last up to two days. Fast charging also allows users to quickly power up when needed.

Both devices feature a bright Super AMOLED+ display, ensuring clear visibility even in outdoor conditions. In addition, IP68 water and dust resistance adds durability for everyday use

Long-Term Value and Security

Samsung is also emphasizing longevity. The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will receive up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with long-term security support.

Security features are anchored by Samsung Knox Vault, which provides hardware-level protection. Meanwhile, new tools such as Privacy Alerts and Private Album give users greater control over their data.
