Obesity Can Be Traumatizing but how you look could be your choice!
As you read this article, look at your body size and shape and ask yourself if you love how you look. Do you? Yes, that is you, darling!
Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity is not just a cosmetic concern. It is a medical problem that increases your risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain cancers.
This means if you are obese you are overweight. That is why overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. A crude population measure of obesity is the body mass index (BMI), a person’s weight (in kilograms) divided by the square of his or her height (in metres).
Most people and especially women are always bothered by their body size. The fear of body shaming and other bad things associated with overweight people leaves many having a desire to have petite bodies. However, if weight loss were simple, we would all be skinny. The truth is, some people are more susceptible to weight gain or weight loss at a biological level than others.
It is arguably claimed that gaining weight requires no effort or lifestyle change that is why it might feel as though weight gain is “easier” than weight loss.
Being in this kind of situation (overweight) should not be something that should take away your self-love and the smile. Losing weight is about getting healthy, not about the number on the scale. Avoid putting pressure on yourself to set and then try to achieve unreasonable expectations. Set your goals based on what you feel most comfortable with.
Many people “fail” at weight loss because they try to make too many big changes at once. Start small.
How do You lose some Kilograms?
This is a personal decision when it comes to shedding some kilograms. Every person deserves to meditate before planning to begin something. That is if you are ready to suffer the consequences or rather ready for a change.
Self-treatment
- Dietary Changes
One of the many reasons why excess weight and fat accumulate is when a person consumes more calories than they use. Reducing the intake of processed, refined, and ready-made food that is high in sugar and fat, while increasing the consumption of whole grains and other high-fiber foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables can help a person to lose weight.
- Physical Activity
For most people, the more active they are, the more calories the body will burn which can however take time to lose at least a kilogram. To start being active, one can start by walking briskly and swimming.
Seek medical care
See a doctor and get advice on nutrition and exercise, find out about weight-loss medications that might help, and also have a discussion on weight-loss surgery. This may help reduce body mass
Obesity affects every aspect of people’s lives, from health to relationships.
