NCBA Launches New Digital Personal Loan via NCBA NOW App

NCBA has introduced a new unsecured digital lending product, the Digital Personal Loan.

It is now available through the NCBA NOW App, making access to loans fast, easy, and branch-free.

The loan offers limits ranging from Kes. 1,000 to Kes. 1,000,000, catering to a wide variety of personal financial needs.

This product falls under the banks’ broader “Lending for All” initiative. It aims to expand access to unsecured loans and overdrafts, especially for retail customers.

Notably, users no longer need to visit a physical branch to access credit.

Fast, Flexible, and Fully Digital

With this new digital loan, customers enjoy both speed and flexibility. Users can access it through the NCBA NOW App using the “Now Loans” feature. Alternatively, they can dial *488# to apply using USSD.

NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking, Mr. Dennis Njau, said the new service reflects the bank’s commitment to tech-driven financial solutions.

“Our Digital Personal Loan reinforces our promise to meet the evolving needs of customers,” he explained.

“With this service, customers enjoy convenience, flexibility, and security right from their mobile phone.”

To qualify, one must have banked with NCBA for at least six months and maintain an active personal account.

The loan tenure ranges from three months for loans under Kes. 50,000 to up to twelve months for higher amounts. Customers can select repayment periods that suit their needs.

Furthermore, every loan comes with credit life insurance from NCBA Bancassurance. This protects borrowers and their families in case of unforeseen circumstances.

The launch is part of the  banks’ ongoing digital transformation. Under the “Lending for All” initiative, the bank plans to roll out more digital lending solutions this year.

Through this move, the bank hopes to enhance customer experience with faster, more efficient, and fully digital loan services.
