Murder! Top Harambee Stars And Leopards Fan Juma Killed In Night Attack

Harambee Stars and the whole nation at large is mourning the death of popular Harambee Stars fan Isaac Juma after a gang attacked and murdered him at his home in Ebuyenje village in Mumias, Kakamega County. This is according to his family.

The assailants raided the home at around midnight wielding machetes and unloaded on him in a gruesome attack, targeting his head and back area before leaving him dead. His body has been taken to Butere mortuary.

The motive of the attack was not immediately clear.

The 56-year-old was a constant and prominent presence during Harambee Stars, Harambee Starlets matches, and in domestic league matches featuring AFC Leopards and Kakamega Homeboyz.

He was a passionate supporter of Kenyan sport who stood out at stadiums for his tireless dancing, flag-waving, and the themed colour combinations painted on his body.

He had two wives (Christina and Faridah) and 10 children with both his homes put up in Mumias, some 250km away from his Nakuru base where he worked as a newspaper vendor.

A one-man cheer squad, Juma who was popular for his high energy dance moves has been an Ingwe supporter since 1980 but changed his loyalty to Kakamega Homeboyz in 2017 after having increasingly felt sidelined despite his status as a ‘senior fan’ at the den.
