LOOP DFS Earns Global IT Service Management Certification
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certification strengthens LOOP’s technology governance, service reliability and digital finance infrastructure across Africa.
LOOP DFS Limited and LOOP DFS Ghana Limited have received ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certification. The standard is internationally recognized for IT Service Management (ITSM).
The certification follows independent audits by the British Standards Institution (BSI). LOOP successfully completed both Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits.
Importantly, the audits recorded zero major and zero minor non-conformities.
The achievement strengthens LOOP’s technology service management framework. It also supports the company’s growing digital financial services operations across Africa.
Strengthening digital service delivery
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 sets requirements for effective IT service management.
It covers how organizations plan, deliver and monitor technology services. It also focuses on continual service improvement.
For LOOP, the certification covers several key areas. These include governance and leadership, incident management and problem management.
It also covers change and request management. In addition, the certification addresses service availability, continuity and capacity management.
Supplier management and continual improvement are also part of the certification.
As a result, LOOP can demonstrate that its technology services follow an independently assessed global framework.
Certification covers LOOP’s PaaS offering
The certification also covers LOOP DFS’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering.
Through PaaS, LOOP provides digital financial infrastructure to other businesses. These include banks, telecommunications companies and other partners.
The infrastructure includes payment rails, Know Your Customer (KYC) capabilities, ledger systems and compliance tools.
Partners can therefore use LOOP’s infrastructure to launch and scale digital financial products. They do not have to build the core infrastructure themselves.
Furthermore, the certification extends the same assurance to LOOP’s partner ecosystem. Businesses building on the platform benefit from an audited service management framework.
