KCB and Centum Real Estate Partner to Accelerate Homeownership in Kenya
KCB Bank Kenya has partnered with Centum Real Estate to make homeownership more affordable and accessible.
The collaboration will provide flexible mortgage options for buyers and development financing for new housing projects across East Africa.
Through this partnership, KCB will offer end-user financing to Kenyans looking to buy homes within Centum Real Estate developments.
At the same time, it will support Centum with funds to build modern, master-planned residential units.
This dual approach aims to close the housing gap while promoting sustainable urban growth.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, KCB’s Director of Mortgage Business, Caroline Wanjeri, emphasized the bank’s commitment to expanding access to quality homes. “We’re combining innovation in mortgage financing with a clear focus on sustainable development,” she said.
“This partnership allows us to reach more Kenyans with affordable housing options.”
Centum Real Estate Managing Director, Kenneth Mbae, welcomed the partnership, noting its impact on the broader property market. “KCB joins us as a trusted partner in unlocking housing opportunities,” he said.
“At Two Rivers, for example, we’re targeting rental demand from the growing diplomatic community, including United Nations staff. This creates strong returns for investors while meeting market needs.”
Notably, KCB’s financing will support the construction of more than 10,000 units across the region.
Centum’s developments in Nairobi, Vipingo, and Entebbe already serve as benchmarks for quality and long-term value.
Previously, the two companies hosted an Open Day at Two Rivers. Attendees explored top residential projects like Cascadia, Mzizi, and Riverbank and gained firsthand insights into affordable housing options.
With this renewed partnership, KCB and Centum Real Estate are delivering practical solutions that bring Kenyans closer to homeownership while supporting growth in the real estate sector.
