By joining the Compact, Del Monte Kenya becomes part of a global network of over 23,000 companies and 4,000 non-business participants committed to a sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future.
Del Monte Kenya’s Managing Director, Wayne Cook, confirmed the news and expressed his pride in the achievement.
“We are truly honored to announce our membership in the UN Global Compact. Our continuous investment in sustainability across all our operations has not only brought global recognition but also delivered real impact. This milestone reinforces our dedication to responsible practices. We look forward to learning from the global community, adopting best practices, and inspiring others to do the same,” he said.

Strengthening Sustainability Commitments
Del Monte’s proactive investment in sustainability has fueled its growth and profitability over the years. Joining the Global Compact means the company will now promote its sustainability agenda on a global platform.
The move aligns Del Monte Kenya with the Compact’s Ten Principles, which focus on human rights, labor, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. It also reaffirms the company’s long-standing commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices.
Del Monte has also pledged to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of this commitment, the company will implement transparent reporting mechanisms and publish annual updates on its sustainability progress.
