CS Kagwe: Graft Cartels At Afya House Have Been Eradicated
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says the ministry has made headway in dealing with cartels and eradicating corruption that has bedeviled Afya House for years.
Kagwe says all loopholes the alleged cartels have been using to milk the ministry will be sealed.
The Health CS says the government has undertaken major changes at KEMSA including tightening the procurement processes, and reshuffling and transferring officers.

Kagwe was speaking during a workshop on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) attended by news editors and health stakeholders in Malindi.
The CS assuring that the ministry will roll out the UHC programme in all counties next month.
“There is no step we’re unwilling to take to ensure that Kenyans get value for their money…whatever it takes, whatever reforms are necessary,” he said.
“There is a clean-up process going on at KEMSA…this process has been called for by the public, media, both Houses of Parliament.”
