According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, on a fateful day, Mburu went to visit his estranged girlfriend Caroline Mutinda, but found her holding a party at her house in the company of two men.

During the incident that happened on the fourth floor of the Charles Mberia Flats, Mburu who- according to witness accounts appeared enraged- demanded to know what the two men were doing in his woman’s house.

In an argument that soon escalated, detectives say that Mburu was stabbed in the neck, although it remains unclear who among the three in the house at the time stabbed him.

Preliminary investigations showed that Mburu- with blood gushing out of his neck- crept down the flight of stairs in what was interpreted as his final desperate search for help.

Pauline Naliaka who lives in the same flat reported hearing a commotion upstairs and upon venturing out, heard that someone had been killed.
