Tusker Oktobafest Kicks Off Nationwide Celebration with “Kulture” Experience
A New Festival Format

Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has officially launched the sixth edition of its annual Tusker Oktobafest, expanding the festival into a nationwide celebration of Kenyan beer and culture.

The launch took place on 25th September at the Tusker Brew House, where media, influencers, and performers gathered for an industry night that set the tone for a month of festivities.

This year, Oktobafest takes a deconstructed format, spreading events across the country to bring the celebration closer to fans. Nairobi will host the first event on October 4th at Carnivore Grounds, featuring a nostalgic “Kulture” experience with a throwback to 2000s Kenyan music.

Brand Vision and Strategy

Marketing Manager Mark Mugisha explained the brand’s focus:
“In six years of celebrating Kenyan beer and culture, Oktobafest has grown into a phenomenal property. Even as the format evolves, our commitment to celebrating beer and culture remains strong. By taking the festival to our consumers, we deepen both our social and economic impact.”

Ag. KBL Commercial Director Edward Kimathi added that the new approach creates more authentic connections. “This format lets us expand opportunities for local service providers and talent. As a proud Kenyan brand, we remain committed to growing and supporting the local economy,” he said.
