DTB to Support 100,000 Schoolgirls by 2030
30,000 girls already reached through #AchieveMoreGirl initiative
Expanding Support for Girls’ Education and Health
Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has committed to support 100,000 schoolgirls across Kenya with menstrual health products and hygiene education by 2030.
This pledge was announced during a distribution drive at Sinaga Girls Secondary School in Siaya County, where over 1,500 girls received reusable menstrual kits.
This event also marked the completion of DTB’s earlier goal set in 2020 to reach 30,000 girls by 2025 achieved five years ahead of schedule.
“Our outreach across 22 counties has shown us the scale of the need,” said Ms. Nasim Devji, DTB Group CEO. “That’s why we’re scaling our support to ensure more girls stay in school and reach their potential.”

Reducing Stigma and Building Confidence
Launched in 2020, the #AchieveMoreGirl initiative has reached 30,000 girls in 120 schools. It provides sustainable menstrual kits and hygiene education, focusing on underserved communities where access is limited.
DTB partners with local governments, organisations, and community groups to expand the program. In addition to product distribution, the initiative offers training workshops on how to make reusable menstrual products.
These sessions involve both women and men, encouraging wider community understanding.
“No girl should miss school or feel embarrassed because of her period,” said Ms. Devji. “When we remove these barriers, we unlock girls’ potential. We’re proud of our impact and even more committed to the road ahead.”
The initiative supports DTB’s Sustainability and Citizenship master plan. It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, and 5 focused on health, education, and gender equality.
