The KES 19.4 million investment expands Epson’s Nairobi footprint and strengthens the office’s role as a regional hub for customers, partners and technology support.

Epson has expanded its Nairobi operations by 50%, strengthening its presence in Kenya as the company deepens its investment in East Africa.

The expansion includes a larger regional office with a dedicated showroom and demonstration area. The facility will give customers and partners an opportunity to experience Epson’s latest printing, projection and visual technologies while accessing training and local support.

Epson invested KES 19.4 million in the Nairobi expansion. The company says the investment will increase its capacity to support customers and partners as demand for business printing and visual solutions grows across emerging markets.

Nairobi to serve as a regional hub

The expanded office forms part of Epson’s wider growth strategy across its Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Central & West Asia (META-CWA) region.

The company continues to expand its network of offices, demonstration facilities and regional support infrastructure in markets it considers to have strong growth potential.

“Our new office here in Nairobi is a good example of what our commitment to customers looks like in practice,” said Mukesh Bector, Epson’s Regional Head for East and West Africa.

“It creates a hub where partners and customers can experience our technology first-hand, access training and work directly with our local team.”

The expansion comes as businesses increasingly seek local technology support and reliable access to solutions that can improve efficiency and productivity.

Epson links growth with sustainability

Alongside its investment in Nairobi, Epson is expanding its use of renewable energy across the region.

The company has extended its use of renewable energy certificates (RECs) to 10 sites, including its offices in Kenya, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Türkiye, Israel, Ukraine and the UAE Experience Centre.

Between March 2025 and April 2026, Epson purchased 416 MWh of RECs to match the combined electricity consumption of these sites.

The initiative forms part of Epson’s global Environmental Vision 2050, which targets carbon negativity and zero underground resource consumption by 2050.

“Sustainability is central to our growth strategy,” said Neil Colquhoun, President, Epson META-CWA.

“Epson’s philosophy of efficient, compact and precise engineering means our environmental commitments and our business growth move in the same direction.”

New products target efficiency and convenience

Epson is also embedding energy efficiency across its latest product portfolio.

The company’s FY26 printer and projector ranges combine compact designs with energy-efficient technology and performance suited to different customer needs.

The latest EcoTank printer range, which Epson describes as the world’s No.1 ink tank printer brand, offers up to 90% savings on ink costs, up to three years of printing without a refill and up to 20% faster colour printing.

The printers use Epson’s Micro Piezo Heat-Free print technology, which the company says can use up to 96% less energy than traditional thermal inkjet printing.

The new range also features more compact designs aimed at saving workspace.

For entertainment users, Epson has introduced the LifeStudio POP, a compact projector designed for young adults and gaming, with flexible image quality for entertainment on the go.

The LifeStudio Flex targets couples and families with a portable premium projector featuring Sound by Bose audio and a design intended for easy home setup.

“When we talk about sustainability, we want it to be something customers can feel directly – through lower energy use, less ink waste and efficient performance,” said Gareth Jay, Regional Sales Director, Epson Africa.

“That is the kind of efficiency we want to keep building into the products we bring to this market.”

The Nairobi expansion therefore marks more than an increase in office space. Epson is positioning the facility as part of its wider effort to bring technology, training and regional support closer to customers while advancing its sustainability agenda across East Africa.
