GDC Starts Drilling Third Well After Successfully Getting Steam In Two Wells.

Geothermal Development Company is on the process of drilling third well after registering a success after starting exploration in Baringo County.

The project which is under the Baringo-Silali project is expected to get 3000 Megawatts once complete with first wells showing signs of producing steam enough to supply to the national grid.

Eng John Lang’at, North Rift Regional Director said they have already moved the rig to new well after successful drilling two wells which started two years ago.

While on a tour to inspect the exploration in Paka, Tiaty Sub County, Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya said the region is set to transform after a success of the exploration.
