New AI-powered televisions promise brighter displays, smarter viewing experiences and larger immersive screens as Samsung marks 20 years as the world’s leading TV brand.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its 2026 television lineup in Kenya, introducing its new Mini LED TV range as the company strengthens its premium home entertainment portfolio in the country.

Samsung Electronics said the new lineup combines advanced display technology with artificial intelligence to deliver brighter visuals, richer colours and more personalized viewing experiences. The televisions are designed to enhance sports, movies, gaming and everyday entertainment while bringing premium features to a wider range of consumers.

The launch also coincides with Samsung’s milestone of 20 consecutive years as the world’s leading television brand, underscoring the company’s long-standing investment in display innovation.

AI takes centre stage

The 2026 Mini LED range introduces Samsung’s latest Vision AI Companion, transforming the television from a traditional display into an interactive smart assistant.

Users can ask their TV questions and receive answers in real time, making it easier to discover content and access information without interrupting their viewing experience.

Samsung has also introduced AI Soccer Mode, which automatically detects football content and optimises both picture and sound settings. The feature aims to recreate the atmosphere of a live stadium, giving football fans a more immersive match-day experience from home.

Meanwhile, Motion Xcelerator 144Hz delivers smoother motion during fast-paced sports broadcasts, action films and gaming sessions. The technology minimises motion blur to ensure moving scenes remain crisp and fluid.

Brighter pictures with Mini LED technology

The new Mini LED televisions use thousands of microscopic LEDs to provide more precise control over lighting across the screen.

This enables deeper black levels, brighter highlights and improved contrast, resulting in sharper and more lifelike images. AI-powered picture enhancement further analyses content in real time, automatically adjusting image quality for optimal viewing.

Samsung said the Mini LED lineup will be available in the M80H and M70H series, giving consumers access to its latest display technology across multiple screen sizes.

Celebrating two decades of TV leadership

Speaking during the launch, Sam Odhiambo, Head of Consumer Electronics Business for Kenya at Samsung Electronics, said the new lineup reflects the company’s commitment to developing technologies that improve everyday experiences.

He noted that Samsung has maintained its leadership in the global television market by continually responding to changing consumer preferences through innovation.

“Our 2026 TV lineup brings together larger screens, AI-powered intelligence and breakthrough display technologies to create more immersive and personalized viewing experiences,” he said.

Samsung attributed its two-decade leadership in the television market to continuous advancements in technologies such as Quantum Dot displays, Neo QLED, Vision AI and Samsung Knox security, which have transformed how consumers watch, play and connect through their televisions.

Micro RGB TV coming later this year

Samsung also announced plans to further expand its premium television portfolio in Kenya with the introduction of its next-generation Micro RGB TV later in September.

The upcoming model is expected to deliver enhanced colour accuracy, improved brightness and even greater picture precision, reinforcing Samsung’s focus on premium home entertainment.
