Both phones offer large displays, 50MP main cameras and enhanced security. They also come with extended software support. Prices start at KSh 23,300.
Galaxy A18 Offers Better Display and Camera Features
The Galaxy A18 LTE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. It also has a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and viewing.
As a result, the phone is suited to streaming, gaming and everyday browsing. Its camera system includes a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP sensor. This setup gives users more flexibility when taking photos.
The device also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. In addition, its IP64 rating offers protection against dust and water splashes.
The Galaxy A18 also brings AI-powered features to everyday smartphone use. For instance, Circle to Search lets users search for information directly from their screens. The phone also supports Gemini and Perplexity.
Meanwhile, Samsung Knox Vault helps protect sensitive information. Samsung is also promising six generations of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates.
Galaxy A08 Packs a Bigger Battery
For users who prioritize battery life, the Galaxy A08 LTE offers a 6,000mAh battery. It also supports 25W fast charging, allowing users to recharge more quickly.
Like the A18, the A08 features a 6.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, it uses an HD+ LCD panel instead of a Super AMOLED screen.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP rear sensor. Additionally, an 8MP front camera supports selfies and video calls.
The Galaxy A08 also has an IP64 rating and Samsung Knox Vault security. Buyers will receive the same promise of six generations of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates.
Furthermore, the phone supports Circle to Search, Gemini and Perplexity. These features bring AI-assisted tools to a more affordable segment of the market.
