Samsung Care+ Expands Accidental Damage Cover Across East Africa
The service plan gives eligible Galaxy owners access to discounted screen repairs through Samsung’s authorized service network.
A cracked smartphone screen can turn an everyday accident into an unexpected expense. Samsung is expanding its Care+ service plan across East Africa to give eligible Galaxy owners a more predictable way to manage accidental damage.
Samsung Care+ covers accidental damage, including screen damage, through authorised service centres. Customers pay a fixed repair fee depending on their device series and market. Samsung says repairs use genuine parts and trained technicians.
The service complements Samsung’s standard warranty rather than replacing it.
Warranty and Care+ Serve Different Needs
Samsung’s standard warranty covers manufacturer defects. Care+ addresses accidental damage that would not normally fall under a standard warranty.
The Care+ plan provides one qualifying screen repair within 12 months of cover. Customers must purchase or register for the plan within 30 days of buying an eligible device.
This distinction gives Galaxy owners two different forms of support.
The warranty addresses problems linked to the device itself. Care+ provides a repair route when accidental damage occurs during everyday use.
Repair Fees Vary Across Markets
The repair fee depends on the Galaxy series and country.
In Kenya, the current Samsung Care+ rates range from KES 3,139 for selected A-series devices to KES 15,693 for eligible Z-series devices. S-series repairs cost KES 7,847.
| Country | Z Series | S Series | A Series | A Series |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kenya | KES 15,693 | KES 7,847 | KES 3,923 | KES 3,139 |
| Tanzania | TZS 320,689 | TZS 160,344 | TZS 80,172 | TZS 64,138 |
| Ethiopia | ETB 19,563 | ETB 9,782 | ETB 4,891 | ETB 3,913 |
| Uganda | UGX 447,262 | UGX 223,631 | UGX 111,815 | UGX 89,452 |
Samsung notes that repair fees can change, so customers should check the current rate before making a claim.

Genuine Parts and Authorized Repairs
Care+ directs customers to Samsung’s authorized repair network.
The company says certified technicians carry out repairs using genuine Samsung parts. Customers can also locate an authorized service centre through Samsung’s support platform.
The service currently covers selected Galaxy smartphones. Eligibility varies by market and device.
Samsung also states that Care+ coverage is limited to eligible devices purchased through Samsung or authorised distributors in the applicable market.
How Galaxy Owners Can Register
Customers can purchase Care+ alongside a new Galaxy device or within 30 days of purchase.
Samsung says eligible customers can register through Samsung.com, the Samsung Care+ website or supported device settings. On newer devices, the option appears under “Warranty and care” in Settings.
Customers can then submit a claim online, by phone or through an authorised service centre when accidental damage occurs.
In Kenya, Samsung lists 0800 545 545 as its customer care number.
Making Accidental Damage Easier to Manage
Smartphones have become part of everyday work, communication, payments and entertainment. As a result, accidental drops and cracked screens can disrupt more than just personal use.
Samsung Care+ is designed to give eligible Galaxy owners a defined repair option when such accidents happen.
For customers who choose the service, the main benefit is knowing the applicable repair fee before an accidental screen repair is needed.
