A section of leaders in Migori county wants the embattled Migori boss to seek an audience with the ODM party to salvage his job after the party orchestrated for his removal from office.
Uriri member of parliament Mark Nyamita wants governor Okoth Obado to start chest-thumping and engaging and engage his party to reach a consensus.
Speaking in his constituency the MP said unnecessary chest-thumping by the governor will not help him as much. At the time when his party is against his style of leadership.
“I am appealing to the governor to take a step back, talk to the party internally because that is the only way this thing can be resolved. But if all hold on to our ground and everybody is on top of a cliff, we will not get into a solution”
The MP claims there are issues that can be solved inhouse but are left to yield into bigger problems by people who have chosen to be defiant to the party’s dispute officials.
Obado’s impeachment is set to be tabled on Tuesday at the county assembly.
