Kenya recorded 356 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday from a sample size of 4,424 tested in the last 24 hours bringing the positivity to 8.0% percent.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 163,976 from a cumulative test of 1,725,546 conducted since March.
Of the new cases, 329 are Kenyans while 27 are foreigners with 200 being male while 156 are female.
The youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 93 years old.
129 patients have recovered from the disease, 64 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 65 have been discharged from various hospitals.
Total recoveries now stand at 113,057 of whom 82,203 are from Home Based Care and Isolation while 30,854 are from various health facilities.
21 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, three have occurred in the last 24 hours, 16 on diverse dates within the last one month, and 2 being late death reports from facility record audits.
This now brings the cumulative number of fatalities in the country to 2,928.

1,105 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 4,749 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, 128 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 23 of whom are on ventilatory support and 76 on supplemental oxygen. 29 patients are on observation.
Another 91 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 85 of them in general wards and 6 in High Dependency Units (HDU).
So far Kenya has vaccinated a total of 921,546 persons against the COVID-19 disease.
Out of the 921,546 persons, 281,704 are aged 58 years and above, health workers account for 161,271, Teachers 144,434, security officers 77,772 while 256,365 belong in the others category.
