Bridging the Gap Between Learning and Earning

This programme offers young graduates hands-on exposure to real work environments. As a result, they gain tools, updated knowledge, and confidence to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

At the launch, Monicah Kihia, NCBA Group Director of HR and Culture, emphasized the bank’s dedication to developing well-rounded professionals. She said, “At NCBA, we create a learning environment that blends technical skill-building with personal development.”

She further encouraged the interns by stating, “As a Go Getter intern, you’ll work directly with experienced leaders across the bank. These mentorships are designed to inspire, challenge, and guide you. You’ll take ownership of real tasks and play a direct role in helping us achieve our goals. You won’t just observe—you’ll contribute meaningfully to NCBA’s journey.”

The bank firmly believes in developing future leaders. Therefore, the Go Getter Programme stands as a clear example of that belief in action.

Since its launch in 2023 with 44 graduates, the programme has grown to 50 participants. It runs for 12 months and prioritizes practical learning through real assignments. By doing this, NCBA aims to empower—not just train—its interns.

Ultimately, NCBA is shaping a new generation of professionals who understand the demands of today’s workplaces and are ready to make a difference from the very start.
