Form 3 Student Commits Suicide After Girlfriend Ends Relationship

Alara village in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County residents are mourning the death of a form three student who has committed suicide after his girlfriend resolved to end the relationship.

Kelvin Omondi 18, a student from Alara Mixed Secondary school hang himself using a sisal rope on Wednesday evening after his girlfriend who is also a Form Three student at a neighboring school informed him of her decision to break up with him.

After the phone conversation, it is believed that Omondi immediately committed suicide after the alleged disagreement.

Ms. Oguta said the two have been in a long-term relationship since childhood (primary school days) and that Omondi was not pleased with the decision of his girlfriend walking away.
