Effects Of P2 On The Womb.

Postinor-2 is a contraceptive used in preventing pregnancy. It is also known as the “Morning After Pill” taken after unprotected intercourse. Do you know about the side effects associated with this method of emergency contraception?

When used within 72 hours of unprotected sex, it helps reduce the chances of being pregnant. Many young ladies make it arbitrary to use Postinor-2 anytime they engage in unprotected intercourse in order to prevent pregnancy.

There are lots of risks associated with the constant use of this drug; just like the abuse of any other drug. Most ladies are naïve; consuming the pills in clinically unsafe ways. They use these drugs without knowing the way it interacts with the body system forgetting people react to drugs in different ways.

  • High risk of infertility

Ladies often use Postinor-2 wrongly (not only as emergency contraception); using more than a tablet at once, combining the pills with other drugs, and consuming more than twelve pills in a month.

Prolonged use of this emergency contraceptive could cause a woman’s monthly period to seize indefinitely or become irregular. The chance of becoming pregnant with an irregular or non-flowing period is slim or close to zero. It also could cause a shift in the ovulation cycle, destroy the womb and cause infertility in the long run.

Too much P2 will weaken the wall of the womb and damage the uterus which will cause miscarriages in the future.

Many of the menstrual disharmonies, such as painful periods, endometriosis, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and infertility can be avoided by taking better care and observing the right precautions while using P2.

The first sign of a problem with the uterus may be bleeding between periods or after sex. The cause can include hormones, thyroid problems, fibroids, polyps, cancer, infection, or pregnancy.
