Don’t Run From Your Men When They Collapse In Bed, MP Dan Maanzo Tells Women
Makueni MP Dan Maanzo has asked women who find themselves in situations where the men they are intimate with get complications to seek help rather than running away.
Speaking after a court exonerated Esther Nthenya who was being held by the police over the death of Machakos Senator Boniface Kabaka, Maanzo, who was representing Nthenya in the matter, showered praises on her for the quick action of seeking the deceased some medical attention.
“We want to thank the DCI for closing this matter. It has taught Kenyans that it is good to care of someone whenever one is in trouble or unwell. A lot of Kenyans tend to shy away from helping people fearing that they may be arrested or that court action will be taken against them,” Maanzo said.
He added that women should help such men in finding medical attention instead of fearing the legal implications.
“Despite what happens, it is good to assist that person. Kenyans should be ready to help in such situations. On many occasions people become unwell and the women run away from them which makes the story difficult to tell,” the MP added.
Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Daniel Ndungi dropped the charges against Esther Nthenya after a report from the forensic and government chemist indicates that the investigating officer did not find evidence to charge the suspect.
