Curfew Hours Adjusted: Cessation Of Movement In Zoned Areas Has Been Lifted

President Uhuru Kenyatta has led the country in celebrating labour day while greatly lauding the work being done by health workers during this unprecedented time.

Uhuru has announced a lifting of the lockdown in the Covid-19 high-risk zone of five counties which include Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Nakuru and Kiambu.

In his speech on Labour Day celebrations at State House, Nairobi, on Saturday, he said the curfew will remain from 10 pm to 4 am country wide.

Education institutions are expected to reopen as per the school calendar and in-person worship shall resume with strict measures being observed.

Operations of eateries and restaurants shall resume in zoned areas with sporting activities being guided by guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports.

Uhuru has emphasized on bars in zoned areas to operate until 7 pm with the prohibition of political gatherings is extended until further notice.
