Ndanai trading center in Bomet County residents is mourning the death of a 24-year-old boda boda mechanic who died on the spot after his lover stabbed him in the chest following a bitter argument in their rental apartment.

Weldon Terer, is said to have been stabbed by his lover after he reportedly used force to enter the room where his lover had allegedly locked herself with another man.

Witnesses said that, when the argument ensued, the 20-year-old woman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the man, killing him on the spot.

Sotik sub-county police boss Francis Ng’ang’a said the commotion attracted members of the public who rushed to the scene and gave the woman a thorough beating after seeing the lifeless body of the mechanic in a pool of blood.

Officers attached at Ndanai Police Station intervened and rescued the woman from the mob before she was rushed to Kapkatet sub-county referral hospital where she is recuperating under police watch.

Police have since recovered the killer weapon having bloodstains.
