By Senator Mithika Linturi Charged With Attempting To Rape 36-Year-Old Woman.
Meru Senator Mithika Linturi has been charged with attempted rape.
Appearing at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, Linturi was charged that on January 30, 2021, he attempted to rape a 36-year-old woman at Maiyan Villas Hotel in Nanyuki at around 3 am.

He further faced a second charge of committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to section 11(A) of the Sexual Offences Act.
He pleaded not guilty to both counts before Magistrate Nanzushi and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.200,000.
The case will be mentioned on October 26.
