NCBA Partnering with Testimony Faith Homes to Transform Lives
Education is one of the most powerful tools for shaping Kenya’s future. For NCBA https://investment-bank.ncbagroup.com/, investing in education is more than providing resources. It means partnering with communities to create opportunities that transform lives.
One institution that brings this vision to life is Testimony Faith Homes in Eldoret. The home has offered shelter and education to vulnerable children for more than five decades.
In a recent interview, Daryl Green, CEO of Testimony Faith Homes, shared the journey of the organization and why partnerships such as the one with NCBA remain vital.
“There are children who are vulnerable, who are destitute, and they’re looking for a place to stay, so we give them a home. Testimony Faith Homes is just a home, away from home,” he said.
The institution began in 1969, founded by John Green, a missionary in Kenya. In 1972, it moved to Eldoret. Since then, more than 400 children have grown under its care. Many are now lawyers, doctors, nurses, and teachers, working both locally and abroad.
Transforming Lives Beyond Shelter
Testimony Faith Homes goes beyond offering a safe place to live. It prepares children for the future.
“We offer a lot of training, especially after high school. We often bring professional counselors to guide the children on careers and help them choose where they want to go in the future,” said Green.

Today, the organization employs 87 staff members. They include teachers, houseparents, and support staff. It also serves 860 students from the children’s home and the school. Local businesses supply goods and services, boosting the area’s economy.
Inspiring Job Creation Through Community-Based Organizations
The impact of Testimony Faith Homes goes far beyond its walls. By creating jobs and working with local suppliers, it shows how community-based organizations can drive economic growth.
This approach reflects NCBA’s belief in fostering progress not only through financial solutions but also by empowering communities.
NCBA: A Partner in Progress
The partnership with NCBA has played a key role in helping the home navigate challenges and grow stronger.
“Our relationship with NCBA has been very close. And more than just being a business, they’ve shown us that we can rely on them,” said Green.
One example stands out. The home faced urgent repairs for its swimming pool. NCBA stepped in with support, making sure the facility remained open.
“We’ve done so much with NCBA and been successful with them in many ways,” Green added.
This relationship shows how financial institutions can move beyond transactions. They can provide trust and stability to organizations that protect vulnerable children.
Building Stronger Futures Together
For NCBA, partnerships like this are also a chance to grow. James Gossip, Managing Director of NCBA Kenya, reflected on the lessons learned.
“We had a difficult period with this school, and they were very open, honest, and constructive about what we as a bank need to do. I’m hoping we’ve learned from their feedback, and I’m hoping they get inspired by what they hear that we’re going to be doing going forward,” he said.
From offering education and counseling to creating jobs and supporting communities, Testimony Faith Homes continues to transform lives. With partners like NCBA, its mission of giving children a home and a future remains stronger than ever.
