Man Arrested For Killing Estranged Wife In Juja.

A man arrested in Juja, Kiambu County for murdering his wife will take a plea next week. 

37-year-old Evan Kamau is in police custody after detectives arrested him for allegedly stabbing his estranged wife to death.

Esther Njigi Nyaga, a mother of three, is suspected to have been stabbed 17 times at their matrimonial home in Everest estate in Juja.

Ether who was a nurse at Muruka dispensary in Kandara Murang’a County was living with her three children in their matrimonial home at Everest estate in Juja after she separated two years ago with her husband a former Kenya Revenue Authority following a series of family disputes.

According to Juja DCIO Richard Mwaura, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday and arraigned before Thika court Wednesday.

Kamau is alleged to have accessed Esther’s house from the back entrance on Sunday night and disconnected power from the main switch.

Dominic Gachamba, the deceased brother said she died while being rushed to hospital and had disclosed to the neighbours who were with her in the vehicle that the ex-husband was the assailant.

A miscellaneous application was granted by the court to allow the DCI to complete investigations.

Mwaura added that a post-mortem report showed the diseased died of excessive bleeding from seventeen stabs inflicted on her.
