LG Electronics has unveiled the LG Best Care Trailer, a 40-foot mobile customer support unit designed to bring technical assistance and repairs closer to consumers. The trailer will serve customers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and eventually Zambia.

Taking After-Sales Care to Customers’ Doorsteps

The launch comes at a time when demand for LG products is rising across the region. In 2024, LG’s OLED TVs captured 57.5% of the global premium market, while total TV shipments reached 22.6 million units. LG is also a top choice in laundry and built-in appliances, driving the need for stronger support services.

Unveiled at the Safari Park Hotel, the trailer will move across Nairobi, stopping in areas such as Eastlands, South B, Kasarani, Westlands, and Kilimani. Locations will be announced weekly on LG East Africa’s social media platforms.

The mobile unit is fitted with diagnostic tools, spare parts, and skilled technicians who can handle everything from refrigerators and washing machines to televisions and audio systems.

Customers can get on-site assessments, quick repairs, and maintenance guidance without visiting service centres.

Beyond Repairs: Community and Customer Engagement

The LG Best Care Trailer also serves multiple functions. It doubles as a moving LED billboard, a stage for talent showcases, and a platform for community engagement activities across East Africa.

“We understand that for many Kenyans, accessing centralized service points can be time-consuming and costly. The LG Best Care Trailer brings expert support directly to our customers’ doorsteps,” said Donghun Lee, President of LG Electronics East Africa.

With Nairobi’s population of 4.5 million, 70% of whom rely on public transport, convenient after-sales care has become critical. Ronald Mitei, Service Director at LG Electronics East Africa, added:

“Customer satisfaction does not end at the point of sale but continues across the lifetime of the products through reliable, responsive after-care.”

The company plans to expand the trailer service to Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru, before rolling it out to Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Customers can follow @LGEastAfrica on social platforms for weekly updates on routes, service hours, and maintenance tips.
