Safaricom Sambaza Furaha Enters Its Third Week as the Caravan Tours Nyanza & Western Regions

Customers were treated to delights including live goats, Chicken, food hampers, airtime among others

Residents of the Greater Western Region will be treated to Christmas cheer this week, courtesy of the Safaricom Sambaza Furaha campaign. The festive caravan is embarking on a week-long tour across the region, offering a variety of delights to spread the holiday spirit.

The festive caravan kicked off in Kondele, making its way through Majengo, Mbale, Chavakali, Khayega, Lubao, Kambi ya Mwanza, Webuye, Kamukuywa, Chwele and Bungoma rewarding customers with live goats, chickens, food hampers, airtime, and more, while also bringing essential customer care services closer to the community.

Speaking at the Kondele Market during the flag-off for the Greater Western tour, Zizwe Awuor, Safaricom’s Director of Brand and Marketing, said:

“We are delighted to officially kick off our caravan tour of the Greater Western region. We will be traversing the area gifting our customers with Christmas offers from Safaricom and also various items such as live goats, chickens, food hampers, and more. This is our way of celebrating and appreciating our customers for being part of our journey this far.”

In Kondele, Kisumu County, one resident, Jacinta Otieno, expressed her excitement after being gifted a goat to celebrate Christmas with her family. She said:

“I honestly don’t know how to thank Safaricom enough for this generous gift. Receiving a goat to celebrate Christmas has made me so happy, as my family now has something special to enjoy during this festive season.”

Beyond spreading holiday cheer, Safaricom will also be engaging in various community activities during the Sambaza Furaha caravan. These include digital skills workshops for the youth courtesy of S-Hook in Kakamega Muliro Gardens, dealers engagement, Home Fibre Clinic and Grow My Business Forum for SMEs in Kisumu, as well as free medical camp at Menyenye SDA School in Nyamira County.  New franchise shops will also be launched in various towns, furthering Safaricom’s mission to make its services accessible and impactful at the community level.

The Sambaza Furaha caravan will continue touring the region over the coming days, with planned stops as follows:

  • Tomorrow: Bungoma – Mayanja- Harambee – Koyonzo – Ogalo – Mumias -Kakamega.
  • Wednesday: Yala – Ugunja – Ukwala – Rangala – Siaya – Usenge – Nyamonye and Bondo.
  • Thursday: Kisumu – Ahero – Katito – Sondu – Chabera – Kadongo – Ringa and Oyugis.
  • Friday: Kendu Bay –  Homa Bay – Rodi Kopany – Opapo  Rongo –  Kitere – Ranen – Awendo – Uriri and Migori.
  • Saturday: Kisii – Naivas Mall – Keumbu  Keroka – Nyamache – Mogonga – Nyamarambe  and Suneka.
