Ksh35 Million Bursary Cheques

Buuri Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon Mugambi Rindikiri yesterday put a smile on learners, teachers, and parents from various institutions after delivering his academic promises.

At Mburugiti Primary School, the MP offered a Ksh1.5 Million cheque and commissioned the construction of five classes after he officially opened two classrooms. He also promised to construct for them two blocks of toilets with both girls and boys having eight (8) toilets each.

The legislator who crossed over to Mburugiti Day Secondary school was joined by various principals from the neighboring schools, parents, and students to witness him handover the bursary cheques for various schools.

A number of 207 students received bursaries worth Ksh3,000 each in Mburugiti Day, where the students led by the academic prefect Nancy Makena applauded the MP saying “Since Hon. Rindikiri’s term begun, schools especially ours has seen a lot of change in terms of infrastructure. The bursaries will also relieve parents from the burden of school fees. Asante sana papa (Thank you so much dad)”

It is in this school that he also officially opened a class and promised to construct a laboratory to ease the congestion while partaking science lesson practicals.

While joining parents, teachers, and students at Buuri High, the MP had a chance to officially open two classes and promised to continue with the renovation of other classes. He at the same time promised to help the form fours apply for the National Identity Cards with the government officials directly operating from the school.

The MP has asked the principals to be cautious of the books they receive from people as they may not be approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and may confuse the learners.

Hon. Rindikiri has offered bursary cheques worth Ksh35 Million and has promised to equalize every child academically.
