Mutyambai puts rogue boda boda riders on notice after motorist attack
Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has condemned an incident in which boda boda riders attacked a motorist.
In a video that went viral, rogue boda boda riders are seen attacking a driver, after he hit their colleague.
The IG said on Monday during his weekly ‘Engage the IG’ Twitter chat, that the incident was unfortunate.
He said that his officers were investigating the matter, assuring that the culprits will be arrested.

Taking to his Twitter handle during the EngageTheIG session, Mutyambai said no one is above the law even as he said that his officers are on the trail of the perpetrators.
“Harassment by bodaboda riders is not acceptable at all and my officers are hunting down the riders captured here physically assaulting the driver” said Mutyambai.
Mutyambai has also asked the victim to report to the nearest police station.
The incident happened along Thika Road, involving a motor vehicle and a motorbike.
In the video, the motorist is rescued by a GSU officer manning the nearby facility.
During the engagement with the IG, Kenyans condemned the act, calling upon the police to take action against those who were captured in the video.
