You Want To Be Happy Right? This Is For You.
They say happiness is a choice. Feelings can equally be controlled but there are things that when stopped, can trigger a good feeling of happiness.
Stop dwelling in the past. Sometimes it may be hard, depending on circumstances. But one needs to take into consideration that the present moment is all you have. Avoid deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and enjoy life the way it is.
Giving up the need to always be right. Standing the idea of being wrong may be difficult for most of us. Whenever you feel the ‘urgent’ need to jump into a fight over who is right and who is wrong, ask yourself this question: “Would I rather be right, or would I rather be kind?”. What difference will that make? Is your ego really that big?
Giving up the need for control. In order to be happy, be willing to give up your need to always control everything that happens to you and around you. This may be situations, events, people, among others. Allow everything and everyone to be just as they are and you will see how much better that makes you feel.
By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try, the world is beyond winning.
Stop the blame game. Give up on your need to blame others for what you have or don’t have, for what you feel or don’t feel. Stop giving your powers away and start taking responsibility for your life.
Give up the need to impress others. They say, if you want to make everyone happy, then sell ice cream. Stop trying to be something you are not just to make others like you.
It does not work like that. The moment you stop trying so hard to be what you are not, the moment you take off your masks, the moment you accept and embrace the real you is the moment you will feel happy inside you.
Just stop complaining. Would you? You know what, it is not the situation that triggers those feelings in you, but how you choose to look at it. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.
