Detectives based in Makueni county are looking for a clergyman who raped a form three student and warned her of dire consequences should she expose him.

The man of the cloth identified as Reverend Daniel Kimeu went into hiding immediately after the incident.

Kimeu who ministers at A.I.C Kalebwani church in Kilungu of Makueni County had offered a lift to the 18-year-old girl on October 19, 2021, only to rape her moments later.

The victim was walking home from Kikuswi market when the pastor suddenly stopped his vehicle and beckoned her to get inside.

She boarded but a few kilometres, Kimeu suddenly stopped the vehicle at a secluded spot and forced himself on her.

The traumatized girl later narrated the ordeal to her teacher who reported to the authorities.

Police are hunting him down.
