Sports CS Amina Mohamed’s Husband Dies In Nairobi.
Khalid Ahmed, the husband of Amina Mohamed, Sports Cabinet Secretary, has died in Nairobi after a brief illness.
According to his family, he died on Thursday morning at the Karen Hospital, where he had been admitted.
Najib Balala, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, was among the first to express his condolences.

“It is with the great sadness that I have learned of the passing on of Khalid Ahmed, husband to Amb. Amina Mohamed, Cabinet Secretary – Sports, Culture & Heritage,” Balala said.
He remembered the late recluse businessman as a great man, generous to a fault, and a rock for his family.
“To my sister and colleague Amb. Amina Mohamed, I share the loss and sadness, please accept my deepest heartfelt condolence from my family and I.” CS Balala added “May the Almighty Allah give you the fortitude to bear this great loss, and give the family the strength at this time of grief. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Indeed, to God we belong and to God we shall return)”
