The governor, who is the party leader noted that in 2022, the party will have candidates in all posts apart from the Presidency. The candidates are expected to be progressive visionary leaders who will implement its progressive transformative socio-economic agenda both at County and National levels.

However, In 2027, the party will have its own Presidential candidate.

As the name suggests, the party’s key goal is getting more resources devolved to the grassroots. The party will also agitate for the increment of the equitable share from the current 15% to 35% to allow better service delivery.

Since the party has a special emphasis on women, youth, and people living with disabilities, the increment of the equitable share from the current 15% to 35% will enhance the creation of the Ward Fund and their financial empowerment.

The Party will also promote the creation of wealth and prosperity and uplift historically disempowered segments of our society especially farmers who work very hard and get paid very little.

The BUS party rejects the culture of tokenism, empty promises, and endless journeys to nowhere. It will be a voice of the people deeply rooted in the villages as it seeks realistic and practical solutions to famine, unemployment, and poverty.

The party will devise a practical mechanism to move its people from a departure of poverty and hopelessness to a destination of hope, dignity, and prosperity.

Note that it is the party that both Kivuti and Kiraitu will use to seek gubernatorial votes in Embu and Meru Counties respectively in the coming 2022 general elections.
