Out of the 47 Kenyan governors, Meru Governor Kiraitu Muriungi was earlier ranked as number two in terms of development performance.

He later, for the Top 100 politicians ranked number 12 which indicates his dedicated work towards making Meru great.

Kiraitu’s promise of ensuring quality and accessible healthcare has materialized with the commissioning of an X-Ray Machine, a Renal ward (Dialyses unit), and an advanced Biochemistry laboratory Machine at Nyambene Level IV Hospital in Maua.

He launched the Historical Meru Mountain Bongo and Black Rhino Sanctuary on Mt. Kenya aimed at boosting tourism.

He has also engaged former street youth to facelift government facilities and released funds for miraa sector support.

Recently, the County Government Of Meru Bagged an award of the best county nationally in the inclusion of people living with disabilities (PWDs).

These are just but a few mentioned projects with mega projects ongoing in the county.

The county boss has instituted new levels of devolution and avenues for deliberations where people can work together to Make Meru Great, through consultative political leadership to achieve The Meru Dream.
