Embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has survived impeachment by the County Assembly.
This is after the 11-member Senate Committee that was probing her impeachment submitted a report stating that none of the charges levelled against the Governor by the Meru MCAs was proven.
The Boni Khalwale-led committee voted unanimously in its decision to overturn Kawira’s impeachment.
