By “I Have Achieved More During Handshake,” Uhuru Says
President Uhuru Kenyatta says he has delivered three times better during the handshake than when working with Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking in Kisii during a meeting with elders where he was accompanied by Interior CS Fred Matiangi’ among other leaders, President Kenyatta said he meant well when he started a journey with DP Ruto and had hoped to finish the same on good terms.
Giving the analogy of a motor vehicle, in which he was the driver, President Uhuru said the person he had entrusted became rogue and instead of offering good services to the passengers, he resulted into coning them and ensuring the vehicle couldn’t operate well.

“They accuse me of the handshake with Raila. We have done 3 times better than when I was with him,” He said.
He reiterated his commitment to a peaceful election and urged Kenyans to vote for credible leaders during the August 9th General Election.
He said Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua are the best suited to succeed him.
President Kenyatta said the development momentum the country has gained will not be disrupted if Kenyans put the interests of the country above personal gains.
His remarks come amid an ongoing back and forth with his Deputy Ruto, who has urged the President to keep off the Presidential contest saying he will defeat Raila regardless of the support he is getting from the state.
