EPRA Reduces Kerosene by Ksh 17.31

Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has released the maximum wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products that will be in force from 15th June 2020 to 14th July 2020.

A liter of Super Petrol has increased by Kshs5.77 while diesel reduces by Kshs3.80 and kerosene becomes cheaper by Ksh17.31

The changes in this month’s prices are as a result of the average landed costs of the imported super petrol increasing by 31.54 percent, Diesel decreasing by 5.58 percent and kerosene decreasing by 51.84 percent.

The objective of the fuel pricing regulations is to cap the wholesale and retail prices of the petroleum products which are already in the country so that the importation and other prudently incurred costs are recovered while ensuring reasonable prices to the customers.

The authority has assured the public of its continued commitment to the observance of fair competition and protection of the interests of both consumers and investors in the petroleum sector.
