Meru Governor Hon. Kiraitu Murungi has been elected as the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee Chairman after a Council of Governors election took place.

Addressing via his FaceBook platform, Kiraitu said “Congratulations to our new Council of Governors team led by Chairman, Embu Governor H.E. Martin Wambora and his Deputy Kisii Governor H.E. James Ongwae. I believe the team will stand firm for Devolution and fight for the interests of Devolved Units…”

He added “I also want to appreciate the outgoing team led by Kakamega Governor, H.E. Wycliffe Oparanya for their able leadership. Thank you my colleagues for believing in me and electing me the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee Chairman. We will continue with the spirit of protecting Devolution!”
