“The curve is yet to be flattened “
57 people have tested positive in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 887. Thirty four (34) of the cases are male while twenty (23) are females. The youngest of the cases is two (2) years old while the oldest is sixty one (61) years.
The distribution of the cases in counties include Mombasa 935) thirty five, Nairobi (17) seventeen, Kajiado three (3), Kwale one (1) and Kitui (1) one.
Another twelve (12) individuals tested positive, all being Tanzanian truck drivers. Eleven (11) at Lungalunga border and one (1) at Taveta border and were all referred back to Tanzania.
A total number of eleven (11) patients have been discharged from hospital bringing the total number of people who have recovered so far to 313 while those who have succumbed to the diseases remain at 50.
Today’s figures demonstrate that the disease is still within our midst and the infection curve is yet to be flattened.
