3 Life Lessons I Have Learnt In 2022

As I share some of my favourite life lessons from the year 2022, some posts like this help me reflect. 2022 has been a lovely year for me and glory to God. There have been national and global issues everywhere I turned but I’ve learned to switch my focus over time.

Here are the top 3 life lessons

  1. You define your own life. Don’t let other people write your script

Sometimes I am in limbo on whether to take this decision or that which I believe is best for me. None around you might understand your decision no matter how hard you try to explain it and may not make sense to them.

In this case, the frustrating part for me was that I felt isolated and “shut-off” because no matter how strong a person is, we all want the approval of people right? But remember, being a people pleaser is the fastest way to failure. I pray God gives you the grace to stand firm on His promises even in the most difficult trials.

3 Life Lessons I Have Learnt In 2022

  1. The only way to worry about nothing is to pray about everything

Prayer has truly transformed me this year. I’m not talking about simple words muttered under your breath, I’m talking about fervent and consistent prayers and declarations. My spiritual life has transformed and I’ve seen God do wonders in my life. The best part? I’ve experienced so much peace all around. Nothing bothers me anymore.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Philippians 4:6 NKJV

  1. When you have a dream you have got to grab it and never let go.

Career-wise, make up your mind to take small, consistent steps and watch God do mighty things through you!

For me, it is a confirmation that when God places a dream, idea, goal, or desire in your heart, you shouldn’t just sit around and wait for a miracle to happen. Instead, you need to grab it and never let it go.

Merry Christmas and happy new year in advance, Inshallah.
