GB Auto Kenya Teams Up with Matatu Owners Association (MOA) for Demo Unit Distribution and Road Safety Campaign

GB Auto, a prominent automotive player, is pleased to announce two significant partnerships with the Matatu Owners Association (MOA). These collaborations will not only facilitate the distribution of demo units across various Matatu Saccos, but also launch a countrywide Road Safety Campaign aimed at promoting safe transportation practices.

In the first phase of the partnership, GB Auto Kenya will be distributing King Long demo units to different Saccos in partnership with MOA. The inaugural event will take place on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, at GB Auto Kenya Nairobi offices, where the first unit will be handed over to 2NK SACCO.

“We are delighted to partner with the Matatu Owners Association to introduce our demo units to Saccos across the country,” said Fridah Kaburu, Marketing Manager at GB Auto Kenya.

“By providing these demo units, we aim to showcase the latest automotive technologies and empower Saccos to make informed decisions for their fleets. We are committed to supporting the modernization of public transportation and enhancing the overall experience for commuters.” In addition to the demo unit distribution, GB Auto Kenya and MOA have joined forces for a countrywide Road Safety Campaign. GB Auto Kenya is the official transport partner.

Recognizing the importance of promoting safe transportation practices, both organizations will collaborate to raise awareness about road safety among drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. “The Road Safety Campaign is a critical initiative that aligns with our shared commitment to ensuring the safety of all road users,” said Albert Karakacha, President of MOA.

“Through this partnership with GB Auto, we aim to educate our members and the wider community about the importance of following traffic rules, maintaining vehicles, and prioritizing safety on the roads.” The Road Safety Campaign will feature a series of vehicle clinics tailored for matatus, conducted in partnership with NTSA officers to ensure compliance with NTSA regulations.

Additionally, the campaign will focus on educating drivers and the matatu conductors about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. By working together, GB Auto and MOA seek to make a positive impact on road safety and contribute to the reduction of road accidents and injuries.
